AGBC Becomes Member of 1% for the Planet

We are proud to announce AGBC is now a member of 1% for the Planet and will donate 1% of all total sales to help fund environmental conservation projects worldwide. 

How Does It Work? 

Our business membership connects us with a diverse number of environmental organizations around the world which align with our own core values and brand story. They reside within six key categories: climate, food, land, pollution, water and wildlife. At AGBC, we are particularly excited to help fund land, wildlife and climate initiatives. 

Through these new partnerships, we are able to collaborate with trusted environmental nonprofits and ensure our donations are used effectively to make a real impact on the issues that matter most.

Why Is It Important To Us?

As many of you may know, AGBC is a gifting company with a strong focus on sustainable consumption and the idea of shopping with purpose. We stock a wide variety of quality, eco-friendly artsy products that can be repurposed and last for years to come. We also work alongside individual artists and manufacturing companies with the same vision for timeless designs and creating a world where nature comes before consumption and profit.

Collectively, we truly believe we can make a difference and help solve the world’s environmental problems. The majority of people today shop and purchase consumer goods -  it is an everyday aspect of modern living and we ourselves are not exempt. In Canada alone, it is estimated the average household spends around $63,723 per year on consumer spending. Many consumer companies also run large-scale manufacturing sites for as little cost as possible, oftentimes resulting in unethical production choices.

With this in mind, we want to ensure AGBC is not adding to the problem and is actively working towards helping our customers and our company make greener and more ethical choices. That’s why we’re proud to join the 3,000 members of 1% for the Planet and work together to protect the future of our planet and reduce our environmental footprint.
