🍂 Fall Equinox: Have you go what it takes to sloooww down this fall?

Fall Equinox: September 22, 2024 - Aligning with Nature’s Rhythm

10min read

The fall equinox is a special time—a moment of perfect balance between light and dark. Day and night are of equal length, marking the halfway point between the summer and winter solstices.

So, what does this mean? The equinox has been a powerful time of year in many Indigenous cultures, including here in BC.

For First Nations people, this moment holds deep significance, symbolising a time to reflect, gather, and prepare for the slower months ahead. It’s a time to practise gratitude for the abundance that spring and summer have brought, while recognising the start of a season of rest, hibernation, and gaining wisdom.

At All The Good Things From BC, we believe that embracing the changing seasons and aligning with them allows us to flow with nature, finding our balance as we move into colder temperatures and lower energy levels.

Embrace the Fall Equinox with Us

In this day and age, this natural rhythm is often overlooked.

We’re always on the go, constantly busy, hiking the next mountain or planning the next dinner date with friends. But this fall, we invite you to learn from the wisdom of our ancestors: breathe a little slower, work a little less, sleep a little longer, and flow into fall with a little extra grace for yourself. As your body naturally wants to slow down, don’t fight it—embrace it.

Ask yourself: How can you slow down this month, physically and mentally? What can you be grateful for from the fruitful months of summer? How might you create space for deeper reflection as the days grow shorter?

At All The Good Things From BC, we believe in supporting this transition with care and comfort. We’re here to help you feel cosy and connected to nature as you ease into fall.
