When visiting the Sea-to-Sky corridor, finding the perfect souvenir is about more than just taking home a memento—it’s about connecting with the spirit of this remarkable piece of land. Whether you’re exploring the valley trails of Whistler, soaking in the tranquility of Pemberton, or marveling at the mountainous scenery from the Peak to Peak Gondola, a truly local keepsake can help you carry those memories with you.
To make your search easier, we’ve curated a list of five standout local gift shops that celebrate local B.C’s artistry and creativity. These shops offer authentic, locally made treasures that reflect the heart and soul of the land.
Not all souvenirs are created equal. While many shops in Whistler are locally owned, their products often come from far-off places, lacking a genuine connection to the area.
“Not all that glitters is gold,” says Adela Beranek, owner of All the Good Things from BC. “Many so-called local souvenirs are neither made nor designed in BC. The Local Sticker is not always true, sadly. But when you shop at places that champion local artisans, you’re supporting our communities and taking home a true piece of the Sea-to-Sky’s magic.”
Let’s celebrate the best of local craftsmanship & creativity by exploring these five truly local gift shops in Whistler and Pemberton.
Location: 1384 Portage Road, unit 4, Pemberton, BC
Why Visit: A hub of local creativity, The Pemberton Collective showcases the work of talented artisans from across the Sea-to Sky region.
Originally a seasonal pop-up by macramé artist Kim Hulme, this shop quickly became a beloved year-round space thanks to strong community support. Most of the space is rented to local makers, offering a rotating selection of handcrafted goods, from macramé pieces to kids’ and women’s consignment finds.
You’ll discover items designed and printed in BC, including Pemberton Brand, Kate Zessel Designs, and Stefinitely. And yes, you’ll find a few favorites from All The Good Things From BC - such as prints on wood in various sizes, wood coasters, stickers, wood bookmarks, paper greeting cards, camping mugs, kids toys & puzzles etc.
Pro Tip: The vendor lineup changes often, as does their stock so each visit brings new surprises.
Hours: Thursday to Sunday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. (with extended hours in summer and December).
