Good memories. Timeless designs. No extra suitcase required.
Vancouver has a way of staying with you.
Maybe it's the mountains rising behind the city skyline. The salty ocean air. The character of Gastown's historic streets. Or that unexpected encounter with a raccoon who seems entirely unbothered by your presence.
Whatever brings you here, chances are you'll want to take a little piece of Vancouver home.
But finding the right souvenir? That's another story.
Not everyone wants another generic fridge magnet or a bulky souvenir that barely survives the flight home. Although, we must admit, someone asked us for a tacky Vancouver magnet almost every week at our downtown pop-up. Maybe there's something to be said for the classics!
And when you're travelling with limited luggage space, every little thing counts.
So we've put together a guide to meaningful Vancouver souvenirs that are easy to pack, enjoyable to give, and above all, worth keeping.
These Good Things celebrate local artists, independent businesses, and the creative spirit of the lands now called British Columbia.
Let's start with the obvious. A good T-shirt is one of the easiest souvenirs to bring home.
It folds neatly into your suitcase, doesn't need bubble wrap, and has a much better chance of becoming part of your everyday wardrobe than something destined to collect dust on a shelf.
But not all Vancouver T-shirts are created equal.
We love designs that tell a little story about the city. Something with personality. Something you would happily wear even if you weren't visiting Vancouver.
Our picks:
Vancouver T-Shirt – Expo 1986 by Tees.ca: A nod to the city's Expo 86 history. Retro, nostalgic, and a fun find for anyone who loves vintage-inspired graphics.
Vancouver T-Shirt – Raccoon Giant by Tees.ca: Because Vancouver's urban wildlife deserves some recognition too. Playful, a little unexpected, and full of West Coast humour.

Both are printed in Vancouver and make practical gifts with plenty of character. And both designs are also available as a crewneck or a hoodie.
Packing tip: Roll your T-shirt rather than folding it flat. It takes up little space and can help cushion smaller souvenirs in your luggage.
Postcards aren't just for sending home anymore.
A beautifully illustrated Vancouver postcard can become a small framed print, a keepsake tucked into a travel journal, or a thoughtful addition to a gift package for friends, clients, or visitors.
And when the artwork is created by a BC artist, there's another story to take home.
We particularly love the Vancouver illustrations by Bowen Island-based artist Anja Jane.
Her designs capture some of the city's most recognizable landmarks, each with its own personality.
Our favourites:
Gastown Postcard by Anja Jane: A little reminder of one of Vancouver's most historic neighbourhoods, with its cobblestone streets and famous Steam Clock.
Marine Building Postcard by Anja Jane: Celebrating one of downtown Vancouver's beautiful Art Deco landmarks.
Dominion Building Postcard by Anja Jane: A colourful take on one of Vancouver's historic architectural landmarks, with the Coast Mountains rising in the background.

These postcards look lovely together, too.
Pick two or three to create a small Vancouver-themed art collection. Frame them individually, arrange them as a little gallery wall, or give them to someone who has a soft spot for this city.
Can't pick a favourite? Anja Jane's Vancouver Postcard Pack brings together eight of her colourful illustrations, celebrating Vancouver's landmarks, neighbourhoods, and mountain scenery. A ready-made collection that's just as lovely to gift as it is to keep.
They're affordable, flat, lightweight, and take up almost no luggage space.
Explore our Vancouver Postcards collection for more designs. And if you'd like something a little bigger for your walls, several of Anja Jane's illustrations are also available as Vancouver Wall Art Prints.
Packing tip: Slip postcards between the pages of a book or notebook to keep the corners from bending.
Sometimes the smallest gifts get the most use.
A Vancouver sticker can travel home on your laptop, water bottle, notebook, or luggage. It's an easy way to remember a favourite destination without bringing home something bulky.
Our own Vancouver Lines collection, designed by All The Good Things From BC, celebrates the city's iconic skyline against the coastal mountains.
The Vancouver Lines Oval Sticker is a particularly easy souvenir to pack. It's small, affordable, and makes a fun addition to a postcard or another little gift.
Pair it with our matching Vancouver Lines postcard or bookmark for a coordinated little set. A few different ways to carry a piece of the city home.
Packing tip: Keep stickers flat inside a book, postcard sleeve, or travel journal until you're ready to use them.

Here's where souvenir shopping gets a little more interesting.
Rather than choosing one larger item, why not put together a few smaller Vancouver gifts that complement each other?
They don't need fancy packaging or a big budget. Just a common theme, a little personality, and some thoughtful choices.
An Expo 1986 T-shirt paired with a Marine Building postcard.
Retro Vancouver meets the city's architectural history. A fun combination for someone who appreciates design, heritage, and a good story.
A Gastown postcard by Anja Jane paired with our Vancouver Lines sticker.
Two different views of the city. One celebrating the neighbourhoods you wander through, the other capturing the skyline you'll remember.
The Giant Raccoon T-shirt paired with our Vancouver Lines postcard.
A playful reminder of Vancouver's urban wildlife, balanced with a classic cityscape.
Each combination is lightweight, easy to pack, and feels more personal than a generic souvenir.
Start with one Good Thing and build from there.
When you're deciding what to bring home from Vancouver, a few simple questions can make shopping easier.
Will it survive the journey?
Lightweight, flat, or flexible gifts are usually the easiest to pack. Think T-shirts, postcards, stickers, and small paper goods. No special wrapping required.
Will someone actually use it?
A souvenir doesn't have to be practical, but it helps when it has a place in everyday life. A favourite shirt, a little piece of art for the wall, or a sticker on a well-travelled water bottle.
Does it tell a story?
Who designed it? What inspired the artwork? Is there a connection to the place you've just visited?
Vancouver is home to a wonderful creative community, and the wider lands now called British Columbia are filled with talented artists, designers, and independent businesses.
When shopping for Vancouver souvenirs, look beyond the familiar tourist imagery. Seek out locally designed gifts, interesting illustrations, thoughtful details, and products that reflect the character of the region.
And remember, locally designed doesn't always mean locally manufactured. Both are worth paying attention to, and we believe in being clear about the difference.
The Good Things featured in this guide are printed locally in Vancouver, with many of our paper goods printed on Canadian-sourced paper. It's one more reason to feel good about the souvenirs you bring home.
At All The Good Things From BC, we curate gifts designed by artists and businesses based in BC, with sustainability in mind. We also create our own Vancouver-inspired designs, including the Vancouver Lines collection.

You don't need a suitcase full of souvenirs to remember a good trip.
A favourite T-shirt. A postcard that captures a familiar street. A small sticker that makes you smile.
Sometimes that's all it takes.
Choose something you'll use. Something you'll enjoy giving. Something that reminds you why Vancouver was worth visiting in the first place.
Small enough to pack. Meaningful enough to keep.
Happy travels, and happy gifting!
